Join us on Thursday, June 1th for an evening with local author Paula Quig.  Paula will share her story of how she came to write her debut novel The Dark Place, the challenges she faced and overcame along the way and the lessons she is still learning as she continues to move along in her writing journey.   The talk will include a description of her novel and an opportunity for participants to “Ask the Author” any questions they may have, whether about The Dark Place, Paula’s future projects, the journey of self-publishing or anything else!  The event will conclude with a book signing, with copies of The Dark Place being available for purchase on site.

Bio:

 Paula lives in Cumberland with her husband, her two children and her two dogs.  She has been a resident of Cumberland for nearly 15 years and fell in love with our little community for its small town feel.  Paula is a lawyer by trade, who presently works for the federal government doing Aboriginal law.  Over the years, she has also worked as a human rights lawyer and has performed advocacy work on disability and accessibility issues.  In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at her little cottage, reading on the beach, exploring walking trails and discovering new wineries and eateries in the Prince Edward Country region
